Exotic Trips

What are they?

An exotic dive trip is defined as an, off-the-beaten-path, or truly exceptional underwater experience, often featuring remote locations, unique marine life, or specialized, high-adrenaline adventures. These trips frequently involve longer travel times, specialized, liveaboard, or, in some cases, luxury, vessels to reach pristine, low-traffic sites, like those in, Indonesia, Palau, or the Arctic.


Key characteristics of an exotic dive trip include:

  • Remote & Pristine Locations: Destinations with minimal tourist traffic and, untouched marine ecosystems, often requiring long-distance travel.
  • Unique Marine Life & Biodiversity: Sites known for specific, unusual, or, massive species, such as thresher sharks in the Philippines, orcas in the Arctic, or, rare, critters in the Lembeh Strait.
  • High-End or Immersive Experiences: Often structured as liveaboard, adventures, offering, 4-5 dives per day, and access to, otherwise unreachable, spots.
  • Challenging or Specialized Conditions: While many are warm-water, some, exotic trips include, polar, diving, or technical, dives that offer, a unique, perspective, such as exploring, icebergs.
  • Unusual Environments: Locations that offer, a completely different, experience, than, standard, tourist spots, such as, muck diving, in, Raja Ampat or, exploring, unique, underwater topography.
